Graves County Economic Development (GCED) and the Mayfield/Graves County Area Technology Center (ATC) are collaborating on a new program, Power In Partnership, where career professionals come to the ATC and speak to students about their field. These professionals provide information about pay/benefits, advancement/progression, training needed after high school, and any crucial details that help them understand the field.
We had two businesses speak to the Machine & Tool students, Centrifugal Technologies Inc. (CTI) and Universal Compressor Solutions.
ATC Principal Josh Heisner expressed his gratitude for their participation in the program.
“The local machine & tool industry has always been supportive of our students and their success. This was made evident by the machine & tool Industry’s participation in Power In Partnership to help the upper level machine & tool students understand the opportunities available to them. Morgan of Centrifugal Technologies Inc. and Hunter of Universal Compressor Solutions are both alumni of the machine & tool program at the ATC and helped our students to see how what they’re learning now can help them in the future. We are so thankful to Michelle and Morgan from Centrifugal Technologies Inc and Todd and Hunter from Universal Compressor Solutions for helping our students.”
In the upcoming weeks we will highlight all the businesses that participated in the program by distributing one press release per career pathway, due to the immense number of professionals that have partnered with GCED and the ATC for this opportunity.
