The Graves County Economic Development arranged a Skybox Partners Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 9 at CFSB Bank, where it invited partners from all over Graves County.

“We definitely appreciate everyone in this room. It’s a joint effort between the city, the county, private businesses, utilities, nonprofits — everyone is represented here,” said Graves County Commissioner Tyler Goodman. “Truly showing of the people that represent our community. We were up in Frankfort the last two days, and met with the Cabinet for Economic Development.”

Goodman said that, “One thing we can hang our hats on is that we’re in this together. We’re in this as a community, we’re in this from very different aspects because we care, and we want to see our community grow.”

Mayfield Mayor Kathy O’Nan was in attendance, and described it as a “delight to work with you all.”

“It is inspiring to stand here and look at you that you’ve invested your time, money and energy,” she added. “Within this group, we have amazing people going on here. So, thanks to all of you, we can stay the course.”

Western Kentucky Community and Technical College, Mayfield-Graves County Tourism, Trifecta, Lowry Farms, Murray State University, Tennessee Valley Authority, Independence Bank, Temps Plus Emergency Services, Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce, Adams Construction, Kyle Smith Design, Atmos Energy, Artisan Construction, Mayfield Consumer Products, 1st Kentucky Bank, WK& T, West Kentucky Rural Electric, and the city of Mayfield were just a few of the partners in attendance.

Jodie Hansen, representing the Western Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, said, “My biggest honor is when I stepped into the role for Georgann (Lookofsky), but the first thing I noticed was two things, they were very committed to their members, and they are very committed to the community. Everyone in this room has a commitment to the community. Thank you all for your support.”
