Highway

Highway 45 (4 lane) running North to South provides excellent access for truck traffic. Interstate 24 is easily accessible via Highway 45 and also from Interstate 69, which provides access from North to South.

Rail Service

The Paducah & Louisville (PAL) is a full-service, 265-mile, regional railroad with service to Mayfield, KY. The PAL connects directly with four of the seven North American Class 1 carriers (the BNSF, CSXT, CN and NS). They also interchange unit coal trains with the UP and connect with regional railroad (INRD) and two short lines (the LIRC and FVRR).

 

Water/River Transport

The Port of Paducah, Calvert City and Fulton/Hickman are approximately 25 miles from Mayfield and are accessible via Rail (PAL) and Highway (Highway 45, Interstate 69 and Interstate 24). The P&L is directly linked to the river ports in Paducah and Louisville.

Air

The Mayfield-Graves County Airport is located 3.5 miles east of Mayfield and has a paved 5,000 foot runway. Federal Express, Kato Express, and UPS provide air-freight pickup and delivery service. Services available are aviation fuel, aircraft parking (ramp or tiedown), passenger terminal and lounge, rental cars, courtesy transportation, computerized weather, and internet access.

The Barkley Regional Airport located in Paducah is 27 miles from Mayfield. On average, 30 aircraft take off or land daily at Barkley Regional Airport. Midwest Aviation has a fleet of various sized planes to handle all your chartered freight. Midwest Aviation handles an average of 225 tons of cargo annually. Midwest can accommodate small package freight with its own fleet or arrange bulk charters up to a Boeing 727. Contracts have handled operations as large as 100,000 lbs daily.
